About Lloyd Harris

Lloyd and his wife, Arlene have recently retired and moved back to a farm just outside of Oakville, Canada, where they operate a Saskatoon berry U-Pick fruit farm, and keep a few colonies of honey bees.

Lloyd graduated with a master’s degree in entomology from the University of Manitoba where he studied and developed a population model of honey bee colony development.

He then moved to Saskatchewan where he worked as a field crops entomologist with the Saskatchewan Government for about 20 years and then as a consultant and researcher for Westco Fertilizers, Dow Agro Science, Novartis, Syngenta, and Bayer Crop Sciences.

Lloyd is also a proficient macro photographer and has produced several agricultural videos on insect control in various crops.
