Liana Teigen Moreno started beekeeping in 2010 with a summer job in a commercial operation while completing an English degree at the University of Florida. She has been professionally beekeeping ever since. She worked at the University of Florida’s Honey Bee Research and Extension Lab for 7 years and with the Bee Informed Partnership as part of their Tech-Transfer Team program from 2014-2016. She currently runs 600 hives with an emphasis on honey production in Gainesville, Florida.
